About the Founder —
Akiko Toya

I’ve always believed that stories shape the way we understand ourselves—and the world around us. Yet for most of my life, I rarely paused long enough to listen to my own.

As a global disaster risk management specialist, I’ve spent years helping countries rebuild after crisis. Witnessing loss, resilience, and renewal across cultures taught me something profound:

Every person carries a story that holds truth, courage, and meaning.
And every story deserves to be heard.

MyAlogue grew out of this belief—and out of my own journey of reflection.
Its name comes from “My Dialogue,” because the most important conversation we can have is the one with ourselves.

When we slow down and ask,  Who am I becoming? What do I value? What do I want to remember about this season of my life?—clarity begins to emerge.

In a world that constantly pushes us to produce, achieve, and compare, many of us move through life without a space to process what we feel or who we’re becoming. I created MyAlogue as an invitation to return to that inner dialogue—gently, honestly, and without judgment.

Our Mission

Through guided prompts, carefully crafted tools, and a space built for real human expression, MyAlogue helps people reconnect with their inner voice — one story at a time.

MyAlogue also exists to create a safe, supportive community for women — a place where vulnerability is welcomed, where challenges are shared openly, and where no one has to carry their pain alone. This vision is deeply rooted in my own lived experiences navigating trauma, women’s mental and physical health struggles, hormonal changes, postpartum challenges, and the weight of societal expectations placed on caregivers.

Because of this, I am committed to building a space where women can feel seen, understood, and empowered — where we can lift one another up, reclaim our confidence, and shine fully and unapologetically, like the sun.

My Vision

To build a collective catalogue of human stories:
a living archive of hope, resilience, and authenticity.

A place where we can see ourselves in each other.
A place where your story might become the spark that helps someone else heal, grow, or find courage.
A place where women — and all people — can rediscover their strength and step into their truth with confidence and compassion.

Why I Believe in This Work

Because storytelling is not just expression—it’s transformation.
Because when we understand our stories, we understand ourselves.
And because when we share them, we remind each other that none of us walk alone.

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for letting MyAlogue be part of your journey.
